more photos for today

Here are some very current photos. After these photos im sure i wont be back to post for awhile!

(crawling over to a box and got under it, hallarious! His first time in our pack'nplay. He hangs out in the one at moms often. Doesnt he look like a frog!?)

**I was showing Isabelle these photos here on the blog and she said "Oh he is like a turtle!" so I guess not a frog :)

Last weeks news

I totally forgot to post any photos of the baby dedication. I thought sure I had.
So we dedicated both our babies at Parkland Chapel last week (when Chris's mom got to be here for it) Here are a few photos :)

OOh noo! He is mobile!

Sure enough, the little guy is officially mobile.. thats right, no one is left safe, he leaves nothing left unturned, aslan is on the move!
He made a big scunch um, Monday before we went to his 4 month well baby visit (altho he is 5 months) but today, he had all 4 limbs going at once and went like the wind! I have to be honest, I am not quite ready for this. I have dirt on the floor and one small barbie shoe some where around these floors. He is a big man. He is showing quite an attitude today for nap time. All appart of growing up! Isabelle did the same thing at this age. Am I encouraging it? Is it just a quinky dink or is this normal at this age? So, let me give you an update on his well baby visit. Come to find out from the last visit back in July, he wasnt 75% acrossed the board like I was told.. I mean, it was close but more like 60ish on his weight instead. So, anywho, his weight has come down so we are gonna start pumping him with iron (ok more feedings more often a little longer) His height is still 75% um.. lemme go find the paper work to complete this. Ahhah, here it is okay.
Height: 26 1/4
weight: 15# 1 oz 25% eek
head: 43.5 cm. 50%
I knew he had been staying the same on his weight. I had been weighing him at my grandmas house when we are there. Her scales have down to the oz and he stayed exactly 15#'s for 3 weeks. He is hitting all the 'mile stones' well and sleeping nicely, and playing good. He still is a big man :) OFcourse the paper work handed from the dr. office states he may be eating every 4 to 5 hours and he is still eating every 2 to 3 when he is awake, or mostly sleeping too. Only at night does he go longer.
He sat this morning on my bed nicely with alittle help getting started. After i assisted him in proping himself up, I balanced him and there he stayed a good full .. eh, half a minute :) teehee. Boring you? :)
He's a big man.

Isabelle Loves her MawMaw

We sure had a good time with Isabelles MawMaw. We took her back to the airport yesterday evening.
I asked Isabelle where Grandma Pearl was this morning and she thought she was still asleep in her big bed. She had totally forgot we dropped her off. She was confused at first then said. I miss my mawmaw. She is so sweet. She is right, she sure is. We had a great little visit. It was so nice to have Christopher's mother around for a few days. We sure hope she had a much fun as we did! Here are a few photos:
Isabelle standing next to kayda at my parents house. We went up there Monday night for supper.
A quick family photo before we headed out the door yesterday morning.

Here we are

I think I can get a few things posted here this late evening. A few photos, a few stories and that will help me feel better about not posting lately. As I mentioned Late evening. It is late. I think I feel that it's later than it really is. A good friend volunteered to come over and help me with my children and house this evening! She just left. Any who, she was a huge help. We are trying to get things ready for my mother in law to come visit. We are so excited and its long over due! So I got lots of things done but my poor mother in law ill just have to see the way we live! Only so much I can do and pretend to do :)
So here is a run down: Chris' mom is flying in tomorrow morning for a visit with us until the middle of the week. It is supposed to rain and be yucky out. Not sure how much fun things we will get to do but it will be nice just to see her and let her see my babies. She met Isabelle when she was 5 months old. Isabelle is now 2 and half, and Wesley is almost 5 months old. Isabelle (ok we are personal here on this site so let me refer to her as we call her) Boo is very excited but isn't sure who she is really is. She keeps thinking its my Aunt Norma. :)
This week we have been very busy working on things around the house and we did alittle green bean canning. Several hours (okay like a day and half worth!) But I think well worth it. We did this at my grandmas house. She just completed a caterac surgery and she kept up with things better than I did! I have a few photos of that too.
I have been following up with some more dental appointments. Still working on the teeth issue.
We have just been busy which is why I have not made the time to keep you updated (Thanks jennifer for staying after me! That photo of Mark; I could eat him up! so cute you should let me post it :P)
Wesley is growing big very fast. He is making new sounds and saying "ma ma ma" but ofcourse I know its not for me but I'd like to think it is. He rolls all over the floor back and forth and is not to be trust anymore. He pulls himself to a sitting position if he is in a sort of a cline to start with. He tries to sit so badly and falls forwards. He is enjoying putting his arms straigh out under him so he can see far and really feel like a big man. Wesley, from what i can remember of Isabelle, is so much more fragil than her. He really gets his feelings hurt (maybe she did too and maybe all babies do?) I know he gets scared sometimes when he see's boo coming. Othertimes he cracks up at her and it just encourages her to entertain him more! He is grabbing and pinching..it hurts but its precious. He still enjoys pulling blankets up to his face to snuggle. Or chris' mouth/gotee to his face. (like face to face) Wesley also enjoys us putting our hand over his mouth and making that sound.. I don't know what you call it but you know what I mean.
I am so proud of Our little Kittles (another nickname) She eats tomatoes (or ToMos as she calls them) right out of the garden. She is eating so well and saying such big stuff. She is funny and sweet and a typical trying child. She presses her limits and test bounderies and does those things willfully and also out of child like behavor. She has showed sympathy for our friend in the ICU at Barnes, and sadness for our aunt who isn't feeling well, and my poor grandma with her caterac surgery. She prays for each of these and ask me about them often. I told her a good report we had on one of our prayer request and she was tickled to hear it. She quietly when in the other room to thank Jesus for being with our friend and helping him feel better. I don't know how much she is getting but she is seeing that its very normal and encouraged to pray about matters. The other day, she asked me where we were going. I said "we were going to see MaMa Elsie", she asked, "Oh, did the dr. fix her eye?" I said "yes I think so. "Oh" she said "Did he take her eye out and put it back and fix it like that?" Oh boy I thought! She then proceeded to say "I think he put it back and its purple.. no hahah its black!" Where that child comes up with stuff at I dont know:) (thankfully neither purple or black)
I had a few deep thoughts the other day while I was watching both Isabelle and Wesley and ofcourse this late at night, this tired and in some aching pain, thinking about the big day we will have tomorrow I can't recall enough of it to type. But you must know how thankful I am the Lord has blessed us with these 2 children. I should be so thankful and greatful to some day later to be poured upon with another blessing. (no im not leading up to anything!) I just love them dearly and they really are a beautiful gift that God has given us.

Let me post some photos and be on my way. We have to get up Ol'e dark early.. :)

Here we are doing some canningThese Tomo's were just for snacking..

There was just a new baby boy cousin born into the family! We are so thrilled for another precious boy! My sweet baby

Photos of the Week

I got my hair cut. This is after we had dinner with Stephanie and Damian once last time before she heads out. I really enjoyed spending a little more time with them.
Isabelle watches Wesley play in the JumperROO for the first time. He liked it :)
Here Wesley is playing with some toys and his feet :) The toys that never leave!

And the results are in

America voted and Wesley.. you are safe! (I mean, Wesley you do look like your grandpas)
So here is the run down of my thoughts on wesley's looks.

At birth: Isabelle
Newborn: Isabelle/Chris
Infancy: PawPaw Alwran, Chris, Grandpa Paul Earhart
Current: GreatGrand PawPaw Alwran & Grandpa Earhart and a bit of me as a baby :)

stay tuned for photos

Aslan is on the move..

Sorta. Chris kept the kids this evening in the living room so I could take a nap. It was sweet. So, I come in from my nap and there is Isabelle playing on the floor and that sweet baby laying under his jungle gym. He is sucking away on a cheap no-shaped passifier just playing away! Moments later he is on his tummy. Next thing ya know, he has moved to a different angle and up about a half a foot. No, he isn't crawling but he is on the move! It sure won't be long. Mom reminded me today that my days of peace and quiet are about over! As soon as he starts sitting on his own and crawling I won't have the ease of just laying him next to me and knowing he will stay put. Aw he is growing up to fast! He is moving all over the mat right now even as I type. Talk about growing up to fast. Little miss Isabelle sure is. She is showing quite the attitude. Good and Bad. "All myself" is one of her favorite sayings. I like seeing her independce and wanting to be big and grown up. Its just not always in her best interest that she does. We have went 'round and round a few times. Last week was a lot of 'work' so hopefully this week will be better. Who says again parenting is easy?

LOL I just finished up here and looked down at Isabelle by my side on the floor, she has found a box of garden/yard gloves.. new.. and putting them on her hands and FEET! so silly :)

Chiggers anyone?

Strange Title you think.. but had you been at my surprise birthday party you would totally understand! Yeah, mom (and Chris) threw me a surprise outdoor party. We had food, cards, a few presents, lots of friends and yes, chiggers. (Sorry peeps about that)
So check out the photos from the Sunday afternoon event.
(no chiggers where photographed nor where they harmed during the production)

A special birthday cake made just for me! Its a camera!! How cool is that. Great job Becky! -
pretty tasty too ;)

Trent showing off his first missing tooth at the party

Jessica gave me a wrap and we tested it out. Its a lot of fun but not so 'flattering' to my full figured size- I feel more like a whale than a Kangaroo!

look at these sweet babies. all 3 boys.. Wesley is the youngest, then Alex (2 weeks older) Then Deacon, the eldest of the 3 (3 weeks older than Wesley)
