Who does He look like?

Before breakfast this morning Wesley was sitting on Chris' lap.. I was with isabelle on the couch. I noticed, and sorta caught me off HOW much wesley looked like Steven, and my dad and Andy too! By the time I grabbed the camera the expressions that he was making that led me to think of how much he looked like my family had MOSTLY left but look at these and tell me he doesnt look like my brothers..

Then a few of isabelle cos she was really funny while I was taking them and they are neat :P

Summer'Time

We worked out in the yard for over 2 hours this morning. We worked fast and we worked hard. After wards we enjoyed a little play time. Kittles' actually did a great job helping us in the yard. She used the hose on the porch and side of the house to take off grass clippings and picked up sticks and put them in the wheel barrow. Swept the side walk and a lot of leg work for us! Westerly slept in his crib :) Anywho here we are at play after all the hard yard work.

(Warning: Tons and Tons of photos ahead)

She LOVEd playing in the water. Even tho it was more like a bath.
it took him almost the entire time before he got 'brave' and started playing in it. He loves drinking out of a cup in the bath so here he was doing it too. A little choked up at times.

At first he wanted nothing to do with the water because he wanted to eat! 'Adda' boy!
The water was Soo cold. So standing worked fine. :)

We had a "picnic". Chris made Lemon berry slushes, we had soy'butter rice krispie treats and regular ones too. I put together some Veggie & Hummus Pitas. YUMMY NUMMY!

We ate so much.. here we are chowing down. Me and Chris had nothing better to do but eat..once we were all set up and watching the kids play.

"You want some?"Mmmmm that was some good eating!
We told Westerman to say "CHEESE" and of course, after Isabelle said it to him he said it back so there are a few shots of him in the college below with him saying "Cheeeeeese"

my poor sweet little girl

bless her heart. I was thinking the past few days my little girl is growing up.. she is big. she is big for 3, but she seems to have years on her already (somedays) so i asked her if she wanted eggs for breakfast. Then I asked her where do eggs come from?! She said "From the garden! Like we get when we go hunting in the grass!"

Hmmm.......

this sweet baby

I was just about to type up a little something about how sweet my baby is. I was getting my post ready when here comes over my presious westerly wanting to sit on my lap and get and give kisses. so im typing with one hand while holding him w. my other and he is sweetly talking about... the curtians i think. i was going to share ... he just has to be the sweetest thing ever. Yesterday, he was in a real clingy mood and I hardly took the time to love on him. I was so busy re-organizing and de-junking a HUGE closet. So I took some time last night to give him some sugars. He sat in my lap and stared at my eyes (Staring is a favorite past time) but also wanting for me to kiss him. ON the lips I might add! He also thinks he kisses with his nose so we do that too. Then after some kisses, he rested his head on my shoulder and let out the biggest *Sigh*. He was content.
Now, after he climbs up here on my lap and we make a big fuss over kisses and nose touches, he is once again content on my lap. talking about curtains, and flailing his hands around, and taking his Tickum (passi) in and out of his mouth and just content. Contentment.. a simi unusial word for some of us. Jesus ask us to be content and I cant help but wonder how many times does The Lord want us to just settle down, and give sugars. Just quiet in His presents and maybe not so much even waiting to hear anything from Him but simple just acknowledging He is there and He Loves us. And much like the little Westerman I love him inspite he poops to much and he still spits up all over us occasionally, He really contributes very little in work around the house, actually he causes me more work but man I love that little boy and inspite of all the extra work we cos Jesus, inspite of us pooping (ok not litterly now.. mk) on our Savior, isn't it great He STILL loves us! If we could just be more content in our lives, with relationship, in our house, with our money and the cars we drive and taking the time to be quiet and content.
Well, now the big man is off my lap, and isabelle is awake and now chaois shall begin. Actually they are having 'loud' competetion. Its where they both take turns screaming to see how is the loudest. I guess.. Wesley just hears her scream so he does it, then she thinks its funny so SHE does it back. Oh my. The sweetness of the quiet time of Wesley, and gentle lovings is over. No wonder I sharish those moments because they dont last long!

a great weekend

We started off the weekend with a BBQ on Friday night. That was so much fun; Mike knows how to throw a great Party! So there is a collage of the kids at that. Then Saturday morning EARLY we got up and got moving to get into the Country Days parade. We met up with Grandma Eslie and watched a HUGE parade. Got some fun photos of people we knew in the parade too. After that we ended up at Taco Bell .. that was crazyness but really nice. Then Saturday after noon we painted the kids room. ALL Evening! Sunday morning of course was church, lunch and worked some more on putting things back into the kids room and our homework too. Then back into my parents to drop off the kids and back to church for our class. After our class and getting the kids a quick trip intown to do a few errens and went by a friends house for a few minutes and finally back home! Whew we were tired. A really nice weekend.

(Wesley being silly. he walked around with my pillow cases for like 20 minutes!)
