You know after I gave my feelings over to the Lord and watched Him provide this week, He topped it off by blessing us with thoughtful people from the church event we missed tonight. Mom and Dad just brought us down some yummy plates of food that some people made sure for us to have. How sweet :) Really brightens our night!
a very different kinda week
We ended up coming back from vacation early because the kids got the stomach bug, On the trip back, i got it and I was sicker than a dog. I made it through the flight just barely and went straight to our er. After 12 hours of throwing up every 15 minutes I was kept over night in the ER and then early that morning admitted into the hospital. I was released with bedrest orders. We knew we would be on house arrest anyways until the signs of this bug was gone but bedrest was important because of the seriousness of my dehydrated. I have had no outside help this past week. (this took place monday and tuesday) due to the fact we didnt want to give out our NC bug, so bedrest for me, with these 2 little ones is kinda nice but difficult aswell in some ways. I felt exhausted and completely fatigued so it wasnt hard to lay around. It was tough to get them lunch and keep them busy enough to be happy and not bother each other.. or me.. :P
Yesterday I came down with a virus. A headcold. I also have some serious allergies going on. So I have longed for Chris to come home each night and take over with the kids and help me a bit with my own self, as well as laundry, supper and dishes and always disinfecting! Everyday I have felt some sort of pitty for myself and my family. A handful of people called, to make sure we were surviving over the course of the day, and one has sent food down to help & I have often thought.. where is everyone to support and encourage us. Even tho its small to the outsider I know if it were them and it has been them at times, they would like some assistance or Hang in there, this will pass.. (eventually..) I know real people right now going through Real stuff.. stuff that makes our family adventure seem like a walk in the park on a breezy sunny afternoon. I am in touch with the difference and wouldnt even think of comparing my issues and watering down the seriousness with something so trivial as my own. None the less, I have felt left out, isolated and wore out tending to my self and my children.
So, now with all that out I say that not to put down friends and family, they have been there for us.. for me..many and countless times before, but just not so much this time. I am quite thankful for that actually, because I got to see the Lord work otherwise and cant give any credit to anyone else but Him! He has provided food for lunch for Chris 3 days at work when chris went to work not knowing what he would eat, not only for his lunch but at supper times as well. So he was taken care of!
We had one meal brought to us and I reheated that the next day for the kids and they LOVED it and it was easy lunch for me and them. You see, since we got back from our trip, I haven't been to the store to get groceries. Chris went quickly on Tuesday to get some banana's and apples for snacks and some yogurt but we had no clue how the rest of the week was going to put us up in the house for days and days more.
Then tonight, with no clue what we would have and no one to bail us out, I felt so sad and drained, chris shows up with Panera Bread company food. The Lord uses people all the time, and when the Lord lays on your heart to help a brother or sister in need.. be obedient to do so! You will be blessing someone and it will bless you in return! But, when the Lord doesnt nudge you to serve,.. dont worry.. He is bigger than that and He can, and will take care of his Children.
(foot note: I do know a few of you have prayed for us and that is much appreciated! And my mom has passed word along from when so and so has called her to ask about us and that means alot too! As well as a small handful of emails and post that have made my day:))

one of those days
Today is one of those days that you love the fact you know your husband will come home and not be disappointed the house has consumed you while he was at work today, or that supper was not ready or burned for that matter.. Today has been a day like that, that, im so grateful for Chris' compassion and flexibility for me and the kids.
I feel like today is one of those days that makes a stay at home mom rough and super hard work. How many times can that kid really poop in one day, or how many times have i dug something outta that one's mouth, or said to this one stop kicking that one or.. no.. You did start it and dont do that and come here and stop being hateful and clean up this mess and dont eat like that and sit still! whew! Its days like today, not horrible, but days when your girlfriend calls and said, Ok your having a rough day Ill be there in 10 minutes to have some hot tea with you and you appreciate that they can walk though a path into your house and they arent judging, they are just loving.. when that girlfriend calls and says hay for no good reason Im thinking about you! Or the email that says.. I know mommy work is hard, the Lord is pleased, you are doing a good job hang in there! And not that, by any means im this terrific friend all the time, I mess up terrible often, but that the other friend is so terrific they just dont care about imperfections and disappointments and it takes aload off! My kids, much like dogs, are loyal and dont care that we cant find a clear place to sit, or that they are having Soybutter Jelly sammys again, but they also miss the boat of compassion and sharing a laugh, and those verbal communications that says hang in there, Love ya, let me cheer you on.. or my husband that reminds me this isnt all there is to being a stay at home mommy and the Lord is blessing us in doing what He has called us to do.. how much I appreciate that girlfriend (s) or husband on a day like today that says.. after all tomorrow is another day ;)

Happy Birthday Isabelle Elaine
Just wanted to run through the day of events 4 years ago.. I dont have any photos of us before we left for the hopsital but i was thinking though that special time line this morning as I woke up next to my birthday girl.
My contractions started at midnight, we left for the hospital around 7..
After 12 hours, and 2 and half of that time was pushing, a broken tailbone and all other sorts.. the Dr told us "Its a girl!".. wow.. totally surprised!
What you dont see here is the intensive hours Chris and Kristy stood next to me with wash clothes, ice chips, and all other kinds of good coaching things; here we had our first baby :) Happy 4 year old birthday Boo :)

Where is the time going?
We are at the end of January, 2010. The first month of this new year is almost over!
The end of January also brings me to tell you that Isabelle Elaine is turning 4 years old tomorrow.. my baby girl.. 4 :) She is so precious to us and what a blessing she is! Happy Birthday Kittle'Dittle's!
Also I should take the time to update that, for while most of you know but just to make it official here on the blog that our family is expecting another baby. I am in my 3rd month and due end of August. Im looking forward to having a summer baby :) We plan this time to find out what we are having because I think Isabelle will respond better that way.. Besides, we did the first 2 w/o knowing and we loved it, we'll see how we like this too :) I also need all the help I can get so Id like to get the clothes brought up from the tubs downstairs and get them washed and ready.. id rather do that this time sooner than later.
So things are a bit different around here but everyone is working very nicely together to deal with the set backs that morning sickness and back problems bring. I've had some terrific help, I had no idea was possible. Its so emotionally helpful too.
Wesley is talking much more, so expressive now and really getting into the language thing! Him and Isabelle are really cute to watch as they interact together and fight and play and love. They are really a full time job just refereeing their squables and ideas they come up with that have to have a stop put to them!

Coming to the end of another season
We are about to wrap up "Fall" and the end of another season of 2009. I love autumn but when its this close to the end I look forward to the next season! So before I rush winter on, and Christmas around the corner; here are a few photos from this Autumn that we enjoyed so much!
And blessings for a Happy Thanksgiving.

Took a trip to Elephant Rocks after church one Sunday in Oct. It was beautiful

Playing in the leaves at the Grandparents house
Skating party!
We did our Pumkins some-time in Nov. Isabelle at first was very excited and went to Disgusted very quickly. Wesley put the "junk"bowl on his head and was not interested in the pumpkins. Here is the final product. Chris did the smile and I did the Cinderella.. Our first attempt btw at carving!
Isabelle was NOT happy about putting her hand in the pumpkin. She was so upset and grossed out and threw a huge protest about it.. then she came around and had a great time!
Earlier in the day we made pumpkin muffins with icing they were soo nummy!

gorgous weekend
Chris had a 4 day weekend. We used the first 2 days (thurs and fri) to clean out the garage, van, gutters and storm doors. Then we enjoyed baby sitting an 18 month old. Yes it was like twins! We had some great time with family and friends and dessert friday eve and chris helped with the moving process of some of our closest friends. Sunday was church, a trip to elephant rocks and a stop at the funeral home for a visitation. We were exhausted! This week is already filling up too. Here are a few photos from the weekend.
We also just had Wesleys 18 month old well baby check! It was a great visit and here are his stats: -31 3/4" and 22.12 lbs (10%) and his head.. Hmm I dunno, but I think she said it was 40%
Just started working on getting out the paci too, or in our lingo the Tickum. Its going ok so far. Not cold turkey but its working for us :)
He is finally expanding his vocabulary but really, he doesnt want to waste time talking, he just wants to give kisses instead!
