getting caught up around the house

Here are a few things we have been able to get down around here the past few weeks. My dad is awesome and Chris is learning so much with his help. I get really motivated when mom comes down too, so that's been nice.
Here are a few things that has taken place lately.
(Starters, a girl at church gave everyone some fresh radishes.. she got a lot of abuse for it but we loved it! Isabelle like them too. )

(Westerly chowing down on raw asparagus stem. He didn't like them cooked later on)

(We made a whole evening of the antenna going up)

(chasing westerly out of the neighbors yard)

(Above: New pole to bring the antenna higher and a new antenna too)

(We just started part-time cloth diapering. Below is chris' first diaper! This is before the diaper cover)
(This morning dad came down and him and chris cut up more of the tree's from the storm that we had a few months ago and then mowed the entire yard again!)

(while the guys were outside working hard we were hardly working! J/k. Mom and I hung this group of photos. We have one missing because its participating at the Madison county 4th photo competition) Mom and I worked on printing the photos and placing them last week. I really like my black and white photos of the kids. The framing set up isnt perfectly squared but they are up! woohooo. )
(A few weeks ago chris got this rod up and the ends placed on.)
(before and after of last weekend)
(The candleabra dad and chris hung up this morning; I've only waited 5 years to get it up!)
(the shelf that took 6 hours to put together last weekend, I really like it in this room)

Funny things from this weekend

Westerly is learning to sign and he is doing well! (well considering what I expect of him)
He is signing water, please, sit, daddy and milk. He is doing some of those when he is wanting something.. like intended and not just as I ask him. Its fun!
He is also winking which is totally cute. Along with the fun things also comes the bad. He throws fits, and screams a lot. Mostly at Isabelle... and maybe rightly so but still..

(winking)

stuffing his face of Taco Salad

(He's saying SHhhhh)

Signing Daddy.. hard to tell but he is.

'One Year old!"
Milk.....

Mom came down Friday to help us set up some hulu.. we had to have something to watch!
(Below, wesley feeding his face- he at one point had all 3 pieces of cereal in his mouth)

Fathers day weekend- part 1

We started the weekend off with some fellowship and bbq at TDL. We were finishing our very last class of the crown financial study. More on that later, how about some photos!

The Westerman after swimming.. he was getting very tired
We didn't plan on getting in but Isabelle got brave and wanted to float on the raft with Dave. We knew she was in good hands
Chris and I watched our kids play in their kiddy pool and we let our feet hang in the water. It was so nice and relaxing. Chris and Isabelle watching fishies eat chris' feet.

the rest of our crew out on the boat and tubbing.

Big thanks to Donna S. for keeping the kids so we could finish the class and for being the the great hostess she always is. Dave and Marcy, we are so blessed to have been able to be appart of your first class. We learned alot about money, we were refreshed about even more and the spiritual growth we gained is priceless. The time away from kids to fellowship with the group was such a wonderful experience and blessing aswell. We love the whole gang, and would do it again in a heart beat! For anyone wanting to know more about Crowns financial information please see http://www.crown.org

We are going to miss our Sunday evenings with you guys!

Fathersday Weekend- part 2

So Isabelle made chris the sweetest card :) She did much of the writing on it, and what I wrote she told me what to say; so it was precious!

She couldnt wait to give him the card.. we worked on it Friday night. She came in to our room shortly after chris got home from work. She was holding it behind her back and was grinning from Ear to Ear. She said "I have a surprise for your daddy" I asked her if she wanted to give it to him now and she said no, I said do you want to give it to him later and she said no.. She really didnt know what she wanted to do she was just to excited. So she pulled it out from behind her back and handed it over with the biggest smile ever.

It says something like "Thank you daddy, I love you. Thank you for the lawnmower and for cleaning the kitchen and putting me in the swing"
(The back of the card)

Happy Fathers day to the best daddy in the world, the best for us, a perfect fit for our family :)
We love you and appreciate you and love being with you!

Who does He look like?

Before breakfast this morning Wesley was sitting on Chris' lap.. I was with isabelle on the couch. I noticed, and sorta caught me off HOW much wesley looked like Steven, and my dad and Andy too! By the time I grabbed the camera the expressions that he was making that led me to think of how much he looked like my family had MOSTLY left but look at these and tell me he doesnt look like my brothers..

Then a few of isabelle cos she was really funny while I was taking them and they are neat :P

Summer'Time

We worked out in the yard for over 2 hours this morning. We worked fast and we worked hard. After wards we enjoyed a little play time. Kittles' actually did a great job helping us in the yard. She used the hose on the porch and side of the house to take off grass clippings and picked up sticks and put them in the wheel barrow. Swept the side walk and a lot of leg work for us! Westerly slept in his crib :) Anywho here we are at play after all the hard yard work.

(Warning: Tons and Tons of photos ahead)

She LOVEd playing in the water. Even tho it was more like a bath.
it took him almost the entire time before he got 'brave' and started playing in it. He loves drinking out of a cup in the bath so here he was doing it too. A little choked up at times.

At first he wanted nothing to do with the water because he wanted to eat! 'Adda' boy!
The water was Soo cold. So standing worked fine. :)

We had a "picnic". Chris made Lemon berry slushes, we had soy'butter rice krispie treats and regular ones too. I put together some Veggie & Hummus Pitas. YUMMY NUMMY!

We ate so much.. here we are chowing down. Me and Chris had nothing better to do but eat..once we were all set up and watching the kids play.

"You want some?"Mmmmm that was some good eating!
We told Westerman to say "CHEESE" and of course, after Isabelle said it to him he said it back so there are a few shots of him in the college below with him saying "Cheeeeeese"
