Coming to the end of another season

We are about to wrap up "Fall" and the end of another season of 2009. I love autumn but when its this close to the end I look forward to the next season! So before I rush winter on, and Christmas around the corner; here are a few photos from this Autumn that we enjoyed so much!

And blessings for a Happy Thanksgiving.

Took a trip to Elephant Rocks after church one Sunday in Oct. It was beautiful

Playing in the leaves at the Grandparents house

Skating party!

We did our Pumkins some-time in Nov. Isabelle at first was very excited and went to Disgusted very quickly. Wesley put the "junk"bowl on his head and was not interested in the pumpkins. Here is the final product. Chris did the smile and I did the Cinderella.. Our first attempt btw at carving!

Isabelle was NOT happy about putting her hand in the pumpkin. She was so upset and grossed out and threw a huge protest about it.. then she came around and had a great time!

Earlier in the day we made pumpkin muffins with icing they were soo nummy!

Time for Tea

We had the most Lovely tea party the other day. First, We had to make our bannana pumkin muffins, which both making and eating were a huge hit! I had everything ready when Isabelle woke up from a nap and she was so excited. I met her in her room, and cleaned her up and pulled out a party dress.. a fluffy lacy with ribbons kinda party dress and some gloves and she KNEW something big was about to happen! I left her getting her gloves on, and I left for my room and to check on the tea. I returned with an invitation for her, and I was dressed in a dress and she got all girly and excited again! Wesley was already hovering the table like a raven on road kill, he was ready for us to join him! I lead isabelle into the dining room. She thought were were leaving but when she seen the table all fancied up and chairs around, and food she just light up. I've never seen her like this before. She immediately took her seat and went right into style. She was so graceful and delicate. Wesley was quite a little man. He sat so well and said please and thank you! it blessed my soul! We had high Tea for 40 minutes. When it was done, welsey went to my plate looking for me :) We used all the fancy words and raised our cups and let our pinky's out. We said 'Darling' and 'Simple Never'. We were right in character. Wesley, as well as he did, wouldnt be ready for Tea with the Queen. he looked handsome. He was serious for the most part but laughed at Isabelle as if he knew her little lady jokes were something. He crammed as much bite size food pieces in his mouth as he could! So precious! :)
He isnt much for "tea size" food. It was so much fun :) I hope you enjoy the photos and think about having an afternoon tea for yourself!

gorgous weekend

Chris had a 4 day weekend. We used the first 2 days (thurs and fri) to clean out the garage, van, gutters and storm doors. Then we enjoyed baby sitting an 18 month old. Yes it was like twins! We had some great time with family and friends and dessert friday eve and chris helped with the moving process of some of our closest friends. Sunday was church, a trip to elephant rocks and a stop at the funeral home for a visitation. We were exhausted! This week is already filling up too. Here are a few photos from the weekend.

We also just had Wesleys 18 month old well baby check! It was a great visit and here are his stats: -31 3/4" and 22.12 lbs (10%) and his head.. Hmm I dunno, but I think she said it was 40%

Just started working on getting out the paci too, or in our lingo the Tickum. Its going ok so far. Not cold turkey but its working for us :)
He is finally expanding his vocabulary but really, he doesnt want to waste time talking, he just wants to give kisses instead!

photo of the week

Isabelle and I did some baking this morning to get the house warmed back up. So while we were coming up with what to make, I pulled out a candy bar I got at the store yesterday (walgreens onsale) I really dont eat candy bars cos most of them are made in a plant with peanuts and these werent, so i splurged and got one. So as I opened it and showed it to her she got very excited. I think it was her first candy bar! She eat it with much nose and excitement. She wanted to know what it was and I told her it was NOT good for us. She asked what was in it. I told her I wasnt sure but that I was pretty sure it was bad for us. She persisted. "What is in it!? Maybe you should read it" (lol) she continued eating and I did too, and she was determined to know why it was bad and what was in it. We went over sugar and peanuts and other ingredients. at the end she said, "I want more" I said "Isabelle, its not good for us we shouldn't have anymore" she said "... I know, im just kidding" I in turned said "Oh, so you Don't want more?" she replied "Oh yeh I do!" ahem, I thought you were just kidding "...oh yeh i am just kidding, but i want more "

he thinks he is something

Wesley was playing with the pillow neck support and found it to be hilarious that he came up with this.

Fall is here

Just one morning, the kids put their rocking chairs together (one usually stays in the kids room, and other in the living room) and rocked and looked at each other rocking. It was the cutest thing. I hope they are still doing it when they are old, and maybe on a porch like my family use to in Tenn. wouldnt that be nice?

Chris came in from mowing and found this.. Its huge!

Aunt Kristy gave Isabelle this hand picked'-home grown from their farm Pumpkin! she is so excited and wants to eat it! ahahah

Looking all Orange and brown and in long sleeves for a true beautiful first of fall day
